Beautiful Feet Tidbit:  A time of transition
So, let’s be honest, I haven’t posted on Beautiful Feet in a while. There are a few reasons for this fact. At the end of May my school year ended, which means for those who are teacher, I am on summer break. This means a few different things; (1) I have my days free and (2) I could be posting on the website more often.
Now, before I continue, I must say that this month or so has been a freeing month that has allowed me to grow spiritually and creatively. Over the last month I have been granted the opportunity to reconnect with God in a way that I have not had in a while. Also, I have been given the opportunity to focus on my art of writing and storytelling.
You could easily be asking; if you’re writing so much, than why are we not seeing more posts on Beautiful Feet Entertainment? Well, as I said above, this is for a few different reasons; first, I am writing two books, therefore I am putting the majority of my attention into these two projects. The second reason is because along with writing these two books, I am looking for another job.
Yes, it is true.
As of the end of May I am not longer a teacher. Now, I understand that for many of my family and friends this is not news, it is something that has been in the works for a few months, but it is still vital to the growth of Beautiful Feet Entertainment.
I left the teaching profession so that I could focus more of my attention on my personal life as well as my upcoming career as a poet and a writer. Over the last four years I have discovered that teaching is a noble profession of passionate people, yet it was not a profession that I am passionate about.
I had to leave the profession.
I prayed deeply about this decision and I truly believe I’m on a new path and I thank you to all of those that prayed with me and counseled me through this transition; a transition that I am still in the midst of, a transition that I am still growing in.
Now, to talk about my two projects that I’m working on:

1. Poetry:  One of the projects that I am working on is a book of poetry. This book will be a collection of poems and songs, each of which is sectioned off into smaller collections. This book will give a back story into my inner most thoughts and feelings as I journey through the many trials of my Christian walk. In this book the reader will journey through my areas of growth and revelation over the years. At the beginning of each of the smaller collections the reader will be given further back ground into the concepts of the songs and the impact they had on my life.
2. Short stories: The second project that I am working on is a collection of short stories, all of which follow the journey of a single family as they face everyday trials. Originally the story that started off this collection was written in college for one of my creative writing classes. Before I knew it I had written an assortment of short stories. Recently I have mapped out a skeleton that I am now fleshing out into a full collection.

Now, I must be honest, I am not sure how I will release those projects for purchase or when I will release these projects, but I believe that God will provide a way for these projects to see daylight. I believe that these projects will not only give my family, friends and future audience a better look at who I am, but I believe that these projects will give the readers an example of a life with God and the purpose of faith.
Thank you for being a part of Beautiful Feet Entertainment and I am asking you to keep me in prayer as I move further into this new field.

1. Pray that God will provide a job for me as I pursue this new calling on my life.
2. Pray that God would provide a publishing company that will publish my two projects when they are finished.
3. Pray that God will open the hearts of those that will be exposed to these two projects upon their release.
